His Eminence Kyabje Gyabung Tulku Lobsang Choeden Rinpoche is currently the Abbot of Chokorling Monastery in Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh in India. He was recognized as the reincarnation of the renowned Khunu Geshe Lharampa Rigzin Tenpa from Kinnaur.
The current Kyabje Gyabung Tulku Lobsang Choeden Rinpoche was born in Saspol, Ladakh in India. In 1992, he entered the Drepung Loseling Monastery in South India and was ordained by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 2007. After over 25 years of study, he secured first place in the final year of the Geshe Lharampa Degree and continued his further studies at the Gyudmed Tantric University. He later served as the Abbot of Tawan Gaden Namgyal Khatse Monastery in Arunachal Pradesh, India.
